The electroplating process is an indispensable and important part of every metal button product. (Note: In the pursuit of fashion and lightness, some unsaturated resin buttons and ABS plastic buttons also use electroplating processes.)

1. From the type of electroplating, it can be divided into: barrel plating and rack plating.

1. Barrel plating is used on products that do not have high requirements on the appearance of metal buttons. The surface of the metal products electroplated will not be very shiny, and even scratches will be left on the button surface during the polishing process, but it will not It is clear. Although there are also bright barrel plating, the overall effect is still not as good as rack plating. Of course, the cost of roll plating is also lower. Products with low surface requirements or small areas are suitable for rolling electroplating, such as air holes, rams, five-claw buttons, and three-way button bottoms, which are generally used for rolling electroplating.

2. Hang plating is used on products that have higher requirements on the appearance of metal buckle products, such as alloy four-way buckle surface, alloy three-gear buckle, belt buckle, hardware chain, etc. Generally hang plating. The advantage is that the surface is not only smooth, but also as bright as a mirror. But some two-color colors cannot be processed.

2. From the perspective of environmental protection, it can be divided into nickel plating and nickel-free plating. Electroplating is the process of turning colors into thin films through chemical treatments and attaching them to the surface of the product. If the "nickel" component is infiltrated during the electroplating process, the product will not meet the national environmental protection standards (especially European and American countries have higher requirements for non-nickel). This is nickel electroplating; if there is no infiltration during the electroplating process The composition of "nickel" is nickel-free electroplating. Of course, nickel-free electroplating also has requirements for raw materials. If the raw material itself contains "nickel" components, then nickel-free electroplating cannot be done. (Example: The raw material is iron, because it contains excessive "nickel" components, so products using iron materials cannot be nickel-free electroplating.)

3. The commonly used electroplating colors are: green bronze, black bronze, red bronze, gun color, two-color gun black, bright silver, Asian silver, gold and so on.
